Great run this morning at the American Tobacco Trail. Great to see some new faces, and some old faces we haven’t seen in awhile (am I saying Topher has an old face?)

How did the swim at Jordan Lake go?

The swim was great! The only problem was we were missing a few smiling faces. Topher, Alex and I made it around the point avoiding the fisherman & navigating the wakes. Our pink, yellow, and green caps must have looked interesting bobing in the lake. A little boy and his dad saw us coming out of the lake and said, “that is them, see their caps”.

We look like a bunch of drowned rats. Kind of a humid morning, but fun nonetheless. Jordan Lake was surprisingly clear. Visibility was at least 3 inches, which was probably a good thing considering we had a Frenchman with us (and we all know about his choice of suits).
I heard the other half of the group had a good run at Shelley Lake, as well. Looking forward to getting both halves together next time.
As for nicknames, still partial to Shrink for David. And Chris? That’s harder. Maybe just his last name – King, or a variation on that, like Elvis. I’ll keep thinking.

I missed you guys on Saturday, but a small group of us ended up at Shelley and ran 10 together. That was nice, especially for me and Jeffrey who overslept! And Jeffrey and I did ride 20 miles on Sunday, so now I am officially in training for Mission Man. Now I think I’ll consider getting in the water…..

A few of us were thinking of running closer to N. Raleigh area this Saturday and swimming at Falls after that. Who’s interested? Any special requests or wake-up calls needed
I am so glad we have a great Elllis Winters/Mittdog team going to Mission Man. It will be so much fun. And we can all send our left over energy to Jon up in New Foundland. Go Team!
