I will be a no-show this weekend. Will be hanging out with Mickey and friends. Hope you all have a good (warm) run.

I’m in for a long run this weekend. Looking to do approx. 8 this weekend since Coach Bubba is next weekend. Is anyone up for Umstead (Graylyn/Ebenezer Church Road entrance) or Shelley?

Who else signed up for Coach Bubba?

I’m about 50/50 for the weekend run. My knee really flared up after the run last week. I’m going to see Cathy Busby at Physical solutions on Thursday for a thorough checkup. Hopefully she can patch me up so I can once again try (read sandbag) to keep up with you guys.

I am up for a run, but am working this weekend. I need to be at work by 8:30am, so would prefer if we ran close to Morrisville. We could run Umstead from Harrison. Would that be OK?
I have thought about Coach Bubba, but maybe coming back from the beach.

The Harrison Ave entrance sounds good. Please remind me which way to turn coming off the exit (coming from 540 on 40).

From 40 from 540, you will go back over the interstate away from Cary and the shopping area. After you cross over the inerstate the road dead ends into Umstead. There is room on the side of the road to park since the Umstead does not open until later.
See you on Harrison Ave by Umstead. Who else will be there?

I am in, but need to do 13 miles. I have not signed up for Coach Bubba, as I need to run 15 that day.

Not great news from my PT appointment. Apparently my knee joint is very loose and still slightly swollen. So I need to take it easy for a few weeks, get it back into shape while increasing mileage up from 6 or so. However, cycling and swimming are fine so I will be putting lots of (boring) hours on the trainer.

Please make sure and think of me Saturday morning when I am fast asleep in a nice warm bed suffering greatly.

Sorry to hear that, Rama. Hopefully, you will be back soon.

Hey, guys (and gals, of course)! This is my first entry on the blog; so go easy on me. You know how guys are with new technology. Bad news for tonight is that my little Sarah has that high fever virus. But good news is that I am back running. Booyah! My PT has me running now; last week in 5 minute intervals: run 1 minute, walk 4. I have successfully gone up to 2 minutes run, 3 minutes walk, and Saturday I go for 3 minutes run, 2 minutes walk. Progress! I am so excited that I went out in the freezing cold pouring rain the other night because it was my day to run (no comments from you, Alex, Mr. “I’m in Disney World this week”), and I can only run every other day; so I went! I am so glad to be able to run. I miss you all so much. I can’t wait to be back with you, and I will some time soon. I am getting fit for orthotics in a couple weeks. Just arch supports for now, but they feel that perhaps my flat feet and need for support is what caused this injury. So, watch out world, once I get my new supports! You guys take care, and know that I truly love you all and promise, as the Governator used to say, “I’ll be back”. Peace. (P.S> Rama; so sorry to hear about your knee; call me if you want encouragement!).

    Hi Guys and Gals….
Alex….did you pick the running venue this week?? We’ll be running the ugliest hills in Rawlee and freezing our tushes off and you’ll be cruising around central Florida in shorts, white socks and loafers!!?? Does anyone have any cheese to go with my whine???? Bummer Rama….I hope your knee is on the mend…..follow orders from your PT. And to our social secretary…. we miss you too! Hope to see you soon. I’ll see the rest of you boys and girls on Saturday morning.  Terp…I’m planning on doing Coach Bubba next week.

Hey, Everyone. We are back from the land where dreams come true and money disappears as fast as pixie dust. I hated to miss the run on Saturday, but the gravity pull of Space Mountain was too great to withstand. I did nothing but walk around, eat bad food and ride unsettling rides. Not good on the training front. But then again, I did power one of our OBX 25 milers on fair food alone. Social Secretary, that is great news to hear you are back on your treads. Rama, so sorry you are off yours for three weeks. There is still plenty of time before Azalea. See everyone on Saturday. I am still contemplating the Coach Bubba Run. I know Terp and KarenG8r are in. Who else?
