Just stopped by REI over lunchbreak today. The North Hills mall store is having their Annual Garage Sale. I was eyeing a Garmin GPS 305. The REI guy showing it to me mentioned that they have one in their Garage pile – missing a few things, but will go for at least 60%(!) off.
Lots of other stuff – store demos, scratch & dent, etc.
Doors open at 10AM. The guy said that there is a line at the door for the Garage Sale. I am going to try to be there. Anyone else? If I can make it, I can take requests!

I’ll probably drop by the garage sale. Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve spent my share of $ at REI. It’s dangerous (expensive) when it is so close to work.

Just checked it out. Good sale on clothes. Just need to be open-minded re: colors. Got a pair of SportHill long, loose fitting running pants for $11. What a bargain!

couldn’t get my butt out there. i shoulda posted that if anyone went and saw the garmin to grab it for me
alex told me that he has seen the line wrap around the building – that scares me silly. the only way im going to wait in a line that long is if the donuts are fresh or if theres a new star wars/peter jackson/matrix movie.

Sorry about that Rama. I would’ve looked for the Garmin for you. I arrived a little late. I was in that line that Alex described (along with my very patient 5-year old). You were better off not getting the Garmin – the electonic stuff looked picked through and they had a no return policy on everything sold through the garage sale. Awesome deals on clothing.
