Weather: Update
Well gang, I am going to be scarce in these parts for awhile. I am going to be heading out to California on Friday, and gone most of July. I will be back for a week, then back out again. I hope to be able to come back every 3 weeks or so, and I will do my damnedest to make the Saturday run when I am in town.
I thank each of you for being part of bringing me into running (hardcore) and triathlon. It saved my sanity and kept me going a lot further than I thought possible. I thank Squeeky the most, and I sure am going to miss the hell out of him complaining that I was getting him up too early and how come I always have to run so fast on our runs together. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future – Vineman 2011 for sure.
I have queued up a number of automated posts for the weekly run – text only – no pic. So at least you guys have a place to discuss the run. If any of you get enthusiastic, you can definitely ping me and I can show you how to paste pics in. Life is going to be pretty chaotic and distracting for me for awhile so I can’t promise much TLC on the blog. I will do what I can though.

I have family in town this weekend so will need to head out stupid early. I do want to run some trails, and am looking at starting around 5:30. Perhaps a silly question, but anyone game? You’ll beat the heat! I’ll sing songs for you! OK, I’ve got nuthin else.

This is very very sad!!! I will very much miss the sounds of Rama’s chichichi feet and the way you so easily ride “no handed”. Of course we will look forward to you coming back swearing that you have not been working out and kicking our asses, Mr Sandbagger. May love, strength and peace go with you and do not forget all that you have left here!

Hey Sandbagger….sounds like you might already be gone!!! Bummer!!! I hope you will be checking this site from time to time. We sure are going to miss you! Your bizarre sense of humor….and of course…the sandbagging! We’ll be looking forward to your visits back to Raleigh so you can tell us how out of shape you are…and how you have trained in ages….and then you can kick our butts….again!! We’ll miss you Sandbagger!

Mr. Lama Dingdong,
– The no-hands cinematography that made the Firecracker Ride look like TdF,
– The EW gang signs flashed at Birds Eye and ASI,
– The first tepid tiptoeing into multi-sport,
– The delayed webcam which always seemed to catch one of us napping or yapping,
– The special pajamas that Squeeky so appreciated,
– The numbered ovals changing like license tag stamps, from 13.1 to 26.2, to 70.3 to 140.6,
– The pulling of friends through near- tragedies and uber-comedies,
– The great bull racoon that made hairy-legged men scream like little girls,
– The coolest running blog ever,
– The heart and soul of our little community.
You simply cannot leave us.
