Who’s doing “Race for the Cure”? I also heard we have a special running guest in town….. soooo…
what is the plan? Can we run early & still run “RFTC”? Did I type that? I am crazy? Who’s with me?

No RFTC for me… I’m thinking of running from BTN and including the Turkey Creek loop – can anyone tell me how far that is? Or perhaps to the end of Reedy Creek and doing loblolly or something like that. I would like to run 2 ish hrs or so. Also, anyone intersted in an early start, like 6? I’m thinking if I leave early, I’ll be done before the horseflies wake up

Heidi, BTN through the Turkeys and back to BTN is right at 14 miles. I’ve done that run dozens of times, and it’s a really nice one. I’m planning on doing that one Sunday at 6 if anyone wants to join.

I’m running 6-8 miles with the Cramps tomorrow. Shelley Lake at 7 a.m. I know Saber, Joe the Runner and Dr. Feelgood will be there. Anyone else interested?

Bill – I’m swimming the Jordan Lake race Sunday, otherwise I would join you!
terp – I’ll likely stick to btn as I am trying to stick to soft/bridle stuff for my longer runs to save my legs for a while. If anyone is heading out let me know, otherwise I’ll likely just go around 6am or earlier to get it done b4 heat and flies ~ I’ll be sure to pepper spray all of the horseflies for anyone heading out later. Word to the wise (from the stupid)…Umstead is very warm at 1pm on a Sunday (when the outside air temp is 93 in the shade on N. Turkey Creek). I came darn near to heat stroke yesterday, and it was about as scary an experience as I’ve had running. Please be careful if you must be out in this heat. And even if you mustn’t.
