  We look like we are freezing our dad gum asses off in that picture!!! I’m in for a run this Sat. and flexible on location/time. It might be good to revisit some old haunts like Godbold Park, Whole Foods, etc.

  i’m out. wife is enjoying a visit to london. will be eating pancakes with the kids while you guys are dealing with the arctic air mass expressed in on the jet stream.

  I’m in this Saturday. I’m flexible with the location.

  Gump – you’ll love Little River. Great course. Definitely wear your trail shoes – lots of roots and rocks. It can get tricky if it’s wet. I had two pretty spectacular falls the second time I ran it.

  Current forecast for Saturday morning is 21 degrees with a “feels like” temperature of 12 degrees – basically our version of the polar bear plunge!

  I’m in for Saturday also! Like Karen’s idea about Godbold Park or Whole Foods–and like the idea of a 7:30 start given the frigid temps. Think it would be good to see the ground in case there is some ice out there! Somebody decide where and when! See you Saturday! FGump–good luck on the Little River Run–Enjoy the pancakes Sandbagger (might actually be a better plan for such a cold morn!)

  I am in. As long as there is hot coffee at the end of our run I am flexible with the location.

  Is Godbold park like church or something?

  It’s too cold for me, I’m waiting until late afternoon Saturday to run, when it’s closer to something more human, like the 30’s. Woohoo! Break out the shorts!

  Be careful on slippery surfaces out there tomorrow. I’ll be treading lightly on the single-track. Looking forward to the ups and downs of LRTR!

  I’m going to miss running with you again. Still having some health issues and can’t run; have to have some more tests tomorrow. With any luck, I’ll be back next Saturday. Try to have fun without me. Probably not hard, since you all have been having lots of fun for the past month in my absence! Stay warm; keep Lil’ Bit’s hands warm!

  Oh, also, stay on the lookout for my friend, John Sinden. He’s a great guy and is training for Boston. He needs a running group for long runs, and we are IT! (I told him that, of course!).

  Fellow runners. Sorry to have missed the Popsicle run. Just too frigging cold. Opted for the treadmill. Missed you guys.

  But I have news- at least it is news to me. All Star Bikes is moving into the space vacated by Spin Cycle on Kildaire. And they have group rides.

  15*F at race start this morning. Y’all didn’t warn me how HILLY Little River is. Ugh. I got the beat-down put on me today. That’s one 10-miler I’m glad is over! But it was scenic, and I did manage not to have any dramatic spills. Thought I broke my toe on one rock, but I survived. Good times!
