Hey Everyeone,
Rhonda and I finished the Phoenix R&R marathon yesterday. Pretty sore right now. Love to see everyone on Saturday, but think I’ll be taking a break the next week or so.
I did sign up for the White Lake Sprint in May though. Kendal, think I’m going to need some swim coaching in the near future!
Have a great run on Saturday.

Congratulations!! Crossing the finish line awesome. I hope you and Ronda had fun!
White Lake Sprint…. you are jumping right in! That is great. Let me know when you are ready to swim.

Here’s an option:
Since some of the group are recovering from a brutal trail run last weekend at Little River (Congrats, Mitdog, Terp and Feelgood), we can start at BTN and do Black Creek first. Then for those wanting to add mileage, we can push on and do the lollipop run of the Reedy Creek B&B to Reedy Creek Road (or whatever that road is by that new neighborhood called Lakes of Umstead), then left on Turkey Creek to the end, left on Graylin B&B, right on the Reedy Creek B&B, up Cemetery Hill, and home.
Go ahead and say it, Kareng8r. Are we having fun yet?

Beware! If Squeeky says it’s 20 mi prepare for 24! You’ll have to let me know what your GPS clocks you at since we’ll be at Lake Norman this weekend. I should be back next weekend with the Milers — at that point I’ll be 2 weeks away from the Tampa marathon! It comes up too fast!

Sorry to miss this one, but Mrs. Herbs is out of town for a wedding. It’s “Daddy Patrol” weekend for me. Let’s hope the Herbert girls go easy on me! Have a great time!

Congrats to Rhonda and Dana!
I plan to test my back tonight on the treadmill.. If it feels ok, I plan to throw caution to the wind and run 10-12 on Saturday.
Herbs – My plan is to sign-up for Coach Bubba 20K. It’s a well organized race – pretty challenging hills in the first half…flatter in the last 10K.
Let me know if anyone else is considering the Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon on April 5. Here’s the link:

Hi Guys-
I am planning to join you boys and girls for some fun tomorrow morning on the Black Creek portion of the run. Thanks Alex for setting up the course so I can join you at the beginning. One other request…. can you guys wait to start the 7 minute mile pace until I drop off…???? Can’t wait to hear more about the Little River Trail run…. I hear there were some spectacular face plants on the trail!!

Oh Yeah for the 1/19 run…I forgot to mention…I will be glad to head up the second group….otherwise known as the Rehab Group or the Group of Recovering Runners!! We’ll be running about a 20 min. per mile pace for about 2 miles…and then stopping at Starbucks for about 3 hours…..sound good??

Unfortunately I’ll miss Saturday as I’ve been ordered to give my achilles and shins a break. I will be thinking of everyone whilst I spin away on the elliptical
Hopefully I’ll be able to join the ‘recovery’ group in the next week or 2.
Congrats to the marathon and trail run finishers!

Not sure yet what BelkyMD and I are doing. We were thinking early-early (5:30 start), but it’s supposed to be raining up until about noon, then change over to fluffy stuff. I’d rather run in the fluffy stuff personally.

I am in for the Rehab Run. Sounds like a good plan you have mapped out for us KarenG8r.

It gets us to Starbucks much sooner.

I hope it snows! I’m up for 12 more or so; I’ll run with whoever wants to do about that. Dance with the guy who brung ya, ya know.

Thanks for a great ~20 miles gang. I think I went to the wrong Starbucks though. Oh well, it saved me $4! Hoping for snow!

Great run everyone. Great to see so many people out, even in the rain!
Forrest, you went to the right SB. You just beat us. We saw you leaving as we were driving in. Sorry!
Have a good weekend, everyone. Where is that snow????

Besides you guys, there is nothing better than Ibuprofen and ice
I do not think I would have made it through the 20 cold wet miles if it were not for your warm sunny company.
Karen, tell Mark I could hear his and Rob’s excitement throughout the city….

Was there a basketball game yesterday? I didn’t notice.
Congrats to the real Terps…and congrats to everyone who completed 20 miles yesterday in the sloppy weather conditions. It was already getting messy when we finished the Rehab Run.

Kudos to you diehards running yesterday despite the elements.. You guys are heroes! I survived “Daddy Day Care” weekend and managed to keep the lil’ rugrats alive and intact.
Terp ~ I’m all signed up for Coach Bubba’s 20K!
