Is there really a section in Umstead that flat? I must have missed it when I was in the “pit of despair”.
I will have one of the above but make it hot, please!

The BTN sounds great for 12/8!
Anyone know the latest on the greenway repair?
One of these weekends perhaps we can run there.

I haven’t seen any Greenway repairs. When are y’all going to run on the Greenway again? Sniff, sniff.

I am in. If we want some variation, we could start with a short run on the Black Creek Greenway and then head into Umstead.
Steve E., we will come back!! What about doing Shelley Greenway on 12/15, the day after the 12/14 Mitterling Milers Holiday Fete?
Stabu, Good luck this weekend at Kiawah!!!

It’s a date for the 15th! The Greenway isn’t the same without you!

Wishing you good weather and lots of fun in Kiawah!!! We are cheering for you from Raleigh/Cary! GO STABU!!!
So are we going to start at Godbold or at BTN to run Black Creek 1st? Who’s up for sixteen? What other milage requests are out there?

Looks like fabulous weather for Kiawah, so I’m really looking forward to the race – we’re heading down to SC tomorrow morning!
Have a fun run Saturday morning, and I’ll be thinking of you all while I’m on my nice, flat race course

More good luck from me, me, Mitdog. You’ll do great. And to the rest of you, I’ll be there. 16, eh? And we thought last week was far!
And I don’t drink those floofy drinks, myself, you see, Sando. Well, at least no sugar. Because you–you, my friend–are the cream in my coffee, the sugar in my tea.

Good luck in Kiawah Heidi!
I’m in for the run tomorrow…perhaps even 16 miles. Yikes.
Has the starting location been confirmed?

Can’t make it this Saturday but should be in for next weekend. Good luck to Heidi in Kiawah and rest of the TRG crew doing 16m.

Good Luck Heidi!!! I’m in for tomorrow, but I’m not too sure I’m ready for 16 miles yet…

See you in the A.M. Not sure I’m up for 16, especially given jet lag, but I’ll go some distance. Good luck Kiawah runners!!

Thanks for all the well wishes ~Back from my Kiawah HM, and let this be a lesson…that thing they say about ‘do not try anything new on race day’? Well apparently that is good advice. I went into the race thinking a sub 2:00 shouldn’t be a problem, was well on track until about mile 8 or 9 when the ‘too many to count’ Cliff Shot Blocks really wanted to come back up. Before the start of the race, I took waaaay more than I’m used to (I think they’re actually sort of tasty, but I digress…) and I really struggled those last couple of miles. Final time: 2:00 and 10 freaking seconds. BA!
Hope to see everyone again next weekend~

Heidi…. with that lesson learn & a time of only 10 seconds over, next time sub 2:00 will be yours.
See you Saturday!
