Congrats to Dr Seuss who ran the Columbus Marathon in 3:46! Very impressive!
Anyone think of a suitable Dr Seuss rhyme to honor the occasion?

Did he run it in the wind?
Did he run it with a friend?
Did he finish in a blink?
Did he listen to some Pink?
Did he run it under four?
Did it make his tendons sore?
“Yes” to all — and to boot:
He is now the fastest Smoot.

Out there things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.
And when things start to happen,
don’t worry. Don’t stew.
Just go right along.
You’ll start happening too.
OH!
THE PLACES YOU’LL GO!
You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Congrats, Smoot! I beleive you now hold the extended Smoot family record for Columbus. Very nice.

Great job out there!

Thank you all for the congrats.
I finally beat my 4-hour stats!
No, I won’t try to qualify for Boston
I don’t run where there’s a chance of frostin’
Besides, running may make us all bats!
Why do we run so far?
Can’t we stay where we are?
The finish line is where I am not
But I’ll run with all I have got
Wouldn’t it be easier by car?
Even if running with MM’s at 6 sounds crazy
At least we can’t be called lazy.
I have always admired you’re running
And the tris you do are stunning
But it’s your poetry that will truly amaze me!
Thanks for the terrific encouragement and support! Y’all are the best! To RMS: I’m not sure about the Gootch but I know Dr. Smoot proudly put out his shingle in “You’re Only Old Once! A Book for Obsolete Children.” I think I qualify . . .
