Registration starts tomorrow for the 2010 Umstead Trail Marathon. It will sell out within two days, so if you plan to do it, make sure to set your alarm!
The race is March 6, 2010, 9 AM. Rain, snow, hurricane, wild animals notwithstanding. No refunds, babystrollers, pets, headphones, sympathy. You get a really cool technical T-shirt, and a “distinctive” pint glass for your recover drink (BEER!) of choice.
The course is fast, flat and you will almost certainly get a BQ slot at this race*.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to pass on Umstead for 2010. Opting for Tobacco Road 1/2 instead…
